A few words about us

Rachel and I live in Columbus, Ohio.  I am the fulltime pastor of student ministries at Mountview Baptist Church.  Rachel is a rehab discharge planner for Westminster-Thurber.  We moved to Columbus, Ohio in April of 2008.  Photography initially was just something that I was interested in, but overtime my wife has found and interest in it as well.  It is an opportunity for us to spend time together, and has been a great excuse to hang out with people we normally may have not gotten the opportunity to spend time with.

What type of photography do you do?

Their are basically two forms of photography, event based photography and portrait photography.  Event based photography seeks to capture a moment in time.  (Weddings, and other major events) Portrait photography is centered more on people in more of a controlled setting.  (lighting equipment, specific location(s), backdrops etc.  While I have been involved in several event based photography sessions, my preference is portrait based photography.
